2821 N. Ballard Rd. Appleton, WI
The history of Paradise Island, beginning as Breslers 33 Flavors in 1985, has been a story of change and growth. Mike and Julie Haas (founders) of Appleton, WI landed a spot for their new Breslers Ice Cream Store in the JC Penny wing of the Fox River Mall (Appleton, WI). However, after 10 years of working with the Breslers franchise, the Haas’ decided to break away and create their own new establishment called Paradise Island. The new operation arose and moved to a brand new spot in the mall across from the Great American Cookie Company. After the completion of the mall’s new addition to the food court in 1997, Paradise Island moved into Northwoods Cafe with a brand new kiosk.
A few years down the road, the identity of Paradise Island again evolved as they moved out of the mall and opened up a stand alone restaurant on the north side of Appleton in May 2001. The new location features frozen treats and drinks like its old mall location, additionally there are entrees like soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza and more! The aspiration at the Ballard Road location is to combine the popular drive-in concept with fast-casual style dining in a tropical aura. The owners have been busy blending innovation and creativity to bring the tropical theme along with quality service and food.
